Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Brand Architect is a brand-strategy tool created and operated by Kendall Monk ("I", "me", "we", "Brand Architect"). This policy explains what information Brand Architect collects when you use it, why it's collected, and what happens to it. It applies to the Brand Architect landing page and to the interactive tool itself, delivered through the Pickaxe platform.
If anything in this policy is unclear, or you want to know more about how your information is handled, get in touch — details are at the end of this document.
2. What information is collected
Using Brand Architect involves sharing two broad categories of information:
2.1 Account and contact information
When you purchase access to Brand Architect, basic details are collected to process payment and give you access to the tool. This typically includes your name, email address, and payment information. Payment is processed by Pickaxe and its payment provider — Brand Architect does not directly store or have access to full payment card details.
2.2 Chat history and business information
Brand Architect works by asking you questions across eight interview modules, and the answers you give — including business names, client details, strategic information, and anything else you choose to share in the chat — are stored as part of your chat history. This is necessary for the tool to function: later modules rely on what you said in earlier ones.
This chat history may include commercially sensitive or identifying information about your business. It is treated as confidential and is not published, displayed publicly, or shared with other users of Brand Architect.
3. Why this information is collected
Information is collected and used for the following purposes:
- To operate the Brand Architect tool and generate your brand profile.
- To process payment and manage access to the modules you've purchased.
- To provide support if you get in touch with a question or issue.
- To review chat histories internally, so Brand Architect can be improved as a product. This may include looking at how modules are answered, where people get stuck, and what kind of outputs the tool produces, in order to refine the questions, the flow, and the overall quality of the tool.
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations, where applicable.
Internal review of chat histories is conducted for product improvement purposes only. It is not used to build advertising profiles, and it is not sold or provided to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Your information is never sold. Chat history and business information stay internal — used only to run and improve Brand Architect, and shared only with the service providers below, strictly to the extent needed to operate the product.
4. Who this information is shared with
Brand Architect relies on a small number of third-party service providers to operate:
- Pickaxe — the platform that hosts the Brand Architect tool, processes payment, and stores chat histories on Brand Architect's behalf.
- Analytics and marketing service providers — used to understand how the Brand Architect website is used (for example, which pages are visited) and, where applicable, to measure the performance of marketing efforts. These tools typically process aggregated or de-identified usage data rather than chat history content.
These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function, and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes. Brand Architect does not share your chat history or business information with any other third party, and does not sell your information under any circumstances.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law, such as in response to a valid legal request from a court or regulator.
5. Where your information is stored
Chat histories, account details, and payment information are stored and processed by Pickaxe and its infrastructure providers. Depending on where you and Brand Architect's service providers are located, your information may be stored or processed outside your home country. Reasonable steps are taken to ensure any such transfer is handled in line with applicable privacy laws.
6. How long information is kept
Chat histories and account information are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Brand Architect service, to support any ongoing product improvement review, and to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, you can request this — see section 9.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to:
- Ask what personal information is held about you.
- Request a copy of that information.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information, subject to legal or legitimate business retention requirements.
- Object to or restrict certain uses of your information.
- Where applicable (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR), request data portability, or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
- Where applicable (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act), request details of the categories of personal information collected and shared, and opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information — noting that Brand Architect does not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, contact Kendall using the details in section 9.
8. Cookies and tracking
The Brand Architect website may use cookies or similar technologies, typically through the analytics and marketing tools described in section 4, to understand site usage and improve the experience. You can usually control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect how parts of the site function.
9. Contact
If you have any questions about this policy, want to exercise a privacy right, or want your data deleted, get in touch and I'll sort it out.

10. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time, for example if the tools or service providers Brand Architect uses change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document will reflect the most recent version. Material changes will be reflected here; continued use of Brand Architect after an update means you accept the revised policy.
